Our Partners
As you can imagine, tires don’t recycle themselves. And even if they could, they wouldn’t fully appreciate all of the fun and useful things they could become. That’s where our partners come in. Retailers, Scrap Tire Generators, Processors & Manufacturers, and Haulers make this whole thing possible.
Retailers
If your business sells tires, you will also be a big part of recycling old tires. Over 2,000 tire and equipment retailers have already registered with TSBC. See the full and latest updated list here.
Scrap Tire Generators
There are sites throughout our province that don’t sell tires but do receive scrap tires, such as auto wreckers and landfills. TSBC collects scrap tires from these registered sites – see the full and latest updated participant list here.
Processors & Manufacturers
These guys are the heart of recycling in BC. There are three locations that help us process scrap tires for use in other products or energy recovery: Western Rubber Products (Delta & Chemainus) & Lehigh Cement (Delta). The crumb rubber produced by Western Rubber Products is used by our manufacturers, North West Rubber and Promat, to create products such as agricultural mats, truck bed liners and gym mats.
We encourage you to visit their web sites to learn more about the great work these companies are doing and their contribution to the program and the environment.
I am interested in registering as a processor – please review our policy and if you have any further questions please contact us.

Haulers
Haulers pick up scrap tires from retailers and other sites, such as landfills and transfer stations, and transport them to the processors. These hard working folks collect over 50,000 tonnes of scrap tires every year. For any questions regarding tire pick up, please call 1-866-497-0281.
