August 13, 2021 Update: Thank you to everyone who participated in providing feedback on the Draft Plan. Consultations have now closed. Finalization of the Plan for submission to the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy by September 16, 2021 is in process.

June 29, 2021:  The consultation process for TSBC’s next five-year Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Plan has been initiated with the publication of the draft plan on the TSBC website. In accordance with the BC Recycling Regulation, TSBC is required to post the draft plan for comment for 45 days. 

Interested parties are invited to submit remarks in writing to 2021consultations@tsbc.ca before August 13, 2021. In considering the draft plan, TSBC’s recently published 2020 Annual Report may assist in providing additional insight.

TSBC will also be hosting two webinars to provide highlights of the draft plan and answer questions from interested parties: 

(1) July 15 from 10 to 11 am 

(2) July 28 from 10 to 11 am

Please register at least 2 days before the webinar you wish to attend to 2021consultations@tsbc.ca with the following registration information:

  • date of the session you wish to attend
  • your full name
  • name of the business you are representing (where applicable)
  • your stakeholder sector (TSBC participant, industry in general, member of the public)

Registrations will be confirmed by return email. Approximately two days before each webinar, registrants will also receive an email with the Zoom link and other meeting access information.
